There was this Eric Bogosian/Oliver Stone movie from the late eighties called "Talk Radio". It's about how a talk radio "shock jock" gets overwhelmed by the constant exposure to the unfiltered hatred and ugliness of his callers (it's set in Dallas, making matters worse). I think this movie is more relevant now than when it was first released (Bogosian is a genius who's ahead of his time. If you haven't seen this or "Suburbia", I recommend them both), and it effectively illustrates the modern internet experience.

I see some crazy shit on the internet. I know most of it is just people's attempt to be funny, and I don't pay it much mind. Sometimes though, I read something that I know is coming straight from the heart. A black, shriveled, septic heart.

I was looking at a cute video on YouTube showing two little Japanese girls, maybe 3-5 years old, playing table tennis against two grown men on some wacky show in Japan. Harmless stuff follows in the comments section to the effect of: "Oh, when she starts to cry it's makes me sad! But she is so cute too!" (When the men score a point they gloat obnoxiously and the smaller girl starts crying. She really is adorable) Then I see a comment that turns my stomach: "yeah;
she is nice.. in future she will ... wow".

Yuck. Seriously creeped me out. Maybe I'm misinterpreting the connotation here, but I don't think so.

There is really no other place in the world where you can be subjected to the fantasies of a disgusting pedophile except the internet. I know intellectualy that these people exist, it's just that in most social settings they keep their vile thoughts to themselves.

Have you ever been on an open forum that has anything to do with black people? The closet Klan comes out of the fucking woodwork. Maybe I'm just too thin-skinned, but it sickens me. I get physically ill from some of the hate filled shit I've read.

The internet is a perfect metaphor for the biblical tree of knowledge. There is the same price of corruption to be paid when biting into the fruit that it bears.

Okay, enough about the sick state of the internet. Now on to the abortion issue.

Call the networks, because I have a simple solution that should work for everybody! Amazing, huh? It's from the Bible: "Vengence is mine, Sayeth the Lord". That means you are supposed stay the fuck out of it.

If you believe abortion is a sin, you must also believe that God will handle it, just like he's going to handle everyone's (your) sins. Christian involvement in law making and government seems like a monumental waste of time in light of this, and a true indicator of a disturbing lack of faith in the power of God as the ultimate judge of mankind.

If you truly believe Christ, the laws of man are not important in the big picture. So stop losing sleep over all the people who are "getting away with murder". It is between them and God. He has not placed anyone in a position to judge, much less start casting stones (via death threats and vigilantism).

According to a Christian God, your sin is as weighty as any abortionist or even a murderer awaiting execution on death row. The only difference between you and Biting Beaver is the one you have created in your minds and in society. Any exemption you think you have earned from God's retribution by following the rules and being "good" is a delusion. Salvation in the Bible is purely a matter of grace, not your own deeds. Yet you still feel the need to elevate yourself above others, to condemn others.

The point is if you hate this woman (or anyone else), you are a murderer and a rapist according to Christ.

Turn the other cheek isn't just a nice idea to a Christian. It is fundamental. When taken seriously, and practiced literally by one small Hindu man, this single spiritual principle freed the entire nation of India from British rule. Think about that.

Imagine the lives that could be changed if a nation of Christians actually followed ALL of the principles of Christianity instead of merely giving it lip service. What good is being accomplished bad mouthing people who don't live up to the standards which Christians themselves haven't lived up to?

That fucker Fred Phelps (head of that "church" which pickets the funerals of soldiers and gay people, with signs that say "God hates fags"), went on his show saying that there is now no salvation for sinners, even if they were to repent and turn to Christ. According to Phelps, Gods wrath is now unavoidable.

Even assuming he's right, what's the point of going on about it? Other than just being a dick and kicking the damned while they are already down? By his own admission he is not even trying to save souls. He's literally just showing up at funerals to be an asshole. Good job missing the point of your whole religion, you fucking douchebag.
